Inspired by the announcement of Max Payne 3 and having played the hell out of the previous two games, comes Payne Killers, a brand new Max Payne fansite. Payne Killers has been coded and designed by Chris from The GTA Place, and is using an improved version of TGTAP's powerful CMS, already featuring a screenshot database, trailers, on-the-fly content creation, and a rapidly growing downloads database. Payne Killers aims to be one of the premier Max Payne fansites on the web, and will mainly be run by myself, with Chris helping out on the tech side of things, and we'll be one of the premier websites to stay up to date with the latest news on the Max Payne series.

We hope you like what you see here, and we'd also like to point you in the direction of our forums which are now fully open to the public and have a nice custom skin to match the website (thanks TM!). There's a good few months to go until Max Payne 3 is released so we're sure you'll have plenty to discuss in that time.

If you have any constructive criticism or other feedback about the site for us then please let us know in the comments, we'll constantly be trying to improve it as we go along, so it would be great to hear what you think about it.

See you on the forums!

Since there's probably never going to be official news announced again, we are just going to use the news system in this section for downloads/mod releases. For convenience purposes, below are the pages located in this section.

Once we get any downloads/mods up we'll make a new announcement.

Since the site just opened and there's not any Max Payne 2 news right now, we'll post the section links up here so you can easily navigate when you click on "Max Payne 2" in the forum navigation. Once we upload some downloads/mods we'll make a new announcement.

Until there's some news (which there most likely won't be) or until there's some new mods coming out we won't be posting in here much.

Max Payne 3 Officially Announced!

Max Payne 3 has finally been announced with some minor details. You can read Rockstar's press release below:

Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Max Payne 3 is currently in development and scheduled for a winter 2009 release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and PC. Developed by Rockstar Vancouver, Max Payne 3 tells the story of a retired police detective embroiled in a world of corruption, turmoil and intense violence.

The award-winning Max Payne franchise put players in the role of Max Payne, a hard-boiled New York City detective with a penchant for violence, out to avenge the death of his family. The latest installment delivers more of the classic elements and hyper-intense action that fans have come to love, while moving the story of Max in a new direction.

"We're starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."

Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Doube-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out.

What does this news announcement suggest? If you look carefully and dissect the announcement, here are the more-than-likely possibilities:

  • The game is no longer based in New York.
  • Max is now corrupt.
  • The game follows the events after Max Payne 2.
  • Max is now a few years older.

Confirmed features:

  • Max Payne 3 will utilize the Xbox Live online service. For what - we do not know yet, could be multiplayer, downloadable content, both - we don't know.

Please note that most of the content on this page is speculation, but it is noted pretty well.
