Max Payne 3 Delayed

Posted at 19:01 GMT by rockstarrem :: Category: Max Payne 3 :: Comments: 1
Max Payne 3 has been delayed until May 15th, 2012. Along with this, the pre-order deadline has been increased until April 2nd. I am very saddened to hear this news, and I'm sure most of the community will be as well. On the bright side, we should feel rest-assured that the game will be of the quality we expect it to be. As good as, if not better than the first two in the series.

How do you feel about this delay? Let us know in the forums.

Remedy Development helping to test Max Payne 3

Posted at 23:28 GMT by rockstarrem :: Category: Max Payne 3 :: Comments: 1
Remedy Development (the makers of the first two Max Payne's) are apparently helping Rockstar test Max Payne 3.

We’ve known the Rockstar guys for 11, 12 years now and it just felt natural as they were wrapping up Max Payne 3 that they reached out asking for input and feedback. We go, ‘Of course, that’s wonderful.’ We love Max Payne and personally I’ve been with Max for many, many years.” But don’t think Remedy is helping with the coding. Matthias continued, “They’re doing all the heavy lifting, it’s not like we’re doing a significant part of it. We’re not doing development

We’re just giving feedback, giving input, playing the builds and providing our thoughts. Certainly it’s fun. It’s almost like a dream job. You just get to play and give your input. (Rockstar) is very open and secure in what they do. They don’t ship bad games, period. With their kind of attention to detail it’s been fun working with those guys. We’ll continue to offer input as they continue to wrap it up.

Sounds great to me. With Remedy's input/feedback I can see the game being as good or even better than the first two. What do you guys think? Let us know in the forums.

Feel like being in the game?

Posted at 23:05 GMT by rockstarrem :: Category: Max Payne 3 :: Comments: 0
Want to be in Max Payne 3? Well, I do too. Rockstar is giving us (the fans) a chance to be a multiplayer character in Max Payne 3. All we need to do is tweet with the hash tag #MaxPayne3 and we could be chosen to be in the game as a multiplayer character.

Beginning today and continuing through January 13th, 2012, we're offering our Twitter followers the unique opportunity to be immortalized as one of eight Max Payne 3 multiplayer gang characters, just by using the #MaxPayne3 hashtag on Twitter.
Every week from now until January 13th, we'll be selecting ten people at random that we've spotted using the #MaxPayne3 hashtag. If you’re one of those chosen, we'll contact you either via tweet or direct message to request a picture of you for consideration. We'll then pick two finalists from each group each week (eight people in total) who will have their likeness appear as a multiplayer gang character in our upcoming action shooter Max Payne 3.
  • Make sure you're following @RockstarGames on Twitter.
  • Make sure you're using the hashtag #MaxPayne3 when you talk about the game.
  • Keep an eye on your twitter replies and direct messages for us to contact you through January 13th, 2012. All fans that we contact will only have 48 hours to respond.
Visit the casting page for all of the details, and the official rules.

Also, you guys should follow me... @DomenicFiore. I'll be tweeting about Max Payne 3 a whole lot.

What do you guys think of the promotion? Tell us in the forums.
