Who did you like playing more? I liked playing Max much more personally, feeling was just a lot better.

Exactly, hope Max Payne 3 will continue with the alternative ending of Max Payne 2.

A spin-off type game featuring Mona could be cool I guess, I feel like they only work well together though. I feel like I wouldn't even give a shit about Mona except for Max working with her/how hard he falls for her. Max is the fucking man. The game itself is probably the best video game interpretation of the Dirty Harry type plot line

It seemed like they played about the same. Mona introduced the sniper rifle, though, and seemed to default to using the Desert Eagle instead of the Beretta so I thought she was pretty fun to play as, since there seemed to be more of an emphasis on high-powered weaponry which for Max seemed to stop at the pump-action shotgun up until that point in the game.. It was interesting to see a perspective outside of Max's.

Whether you like Max or Mona more, though, if you have the PC version of Max Payne 2 I highly recommend the mod Mona The Assassin. Very professional design job.

I'd go with Max. Why? Because he's the main hero, he's the guy we know. We know his past, we know many things about him and that's why we love him. And Mona is just another gun for hire that decided to have a crush on our favourite protagonist. It's not that I don't like Mona, it's quite the opposite, but I always said that the chapters with her are just sweet adds that in today's world of gaming would be in DLC packs.

I must go with Max here! It felt more natural playing with him rather than with Mona. I have to say that I generally don't really like games where you get to control more than one character throughout the story, I think it destroys the whole experience. Though in case of Max Payne 2 such a thing was logical, nothing else would have made more sense, so that's why I enjoyed it there.
